Law for Partial Amendments to the Law concerning the Disposition of the Police Property and Others Owned by To, Do, Fu or Prefecture
The Law concerning the Disposition of the Police Property and Others Owned by To, Do, Fu or Prefecture (Law No.75 of 1949) shall be partially amended as follows:
The following one Article shall be added next to Article 1:
Article 1-(2). In case properties and articles obtained by the State in accordance with the provision of paragraph 1 of the preceding Article, have become needless to the National Rural Police, but are needed by the city, town or village police (including the police maintained by confederated special wards;hereinafter the same), such properties and articles shall be transferred by the State without compensation to the city, town or village (or Metropolis, in case the police is maintained by confederated special wards;hereinafter the same) concerned.
2 In case properties and articles obtained by the city, town or village in accordance with Article 9 of the Supplementary Provision of the Police Law or the provision of the preceding paragraph, have become needless to the police of the city, town or village concerned, but are needed by the National Rural Police, such properties and articles shall be transferred by the city, town or village concerned without compensation to the State.
In Article 2, "preceding Article" shall be amended as "preceding two Articles," and "the State" as "the State or city, town or village."
In Article 3, "and Article 1-(2)" shall be added next to "Article 1."
In Article 4, "the National Rural Police mentioned in Article 1" shall be amended as "the National Rural Police or city, town or village police mentioned in Article 1 or Article 1-(2)," and "or Governor of To, Do, Fu or prefecture" as "the Governor of To, Do, Fu or prefecture or the head of city, town or village."
Supplementary Provision:
This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
