Law for Partial Amendments to the Law concerning the Decision or Revision of the Fixed Prices of Manufactured Tobacco
Law concerning the Decision or Revision of the Fixed Prices of Manufactured Tobacco (Law No.84 of 1948) shall be partially amended as follows:
The main provision shall be made paragraph 1 of the main provision, in this paragraph, "In accordance with the stipulations of Article 3 of the Finance Law (promulgated as Law No.34 of 1947)" shall be deleted, "the Government" shall be amended as "the Japan Monopoly Corporation" , and "the Price List of Tobacco Manufactured by the Government" shall be amended as follows:

To the main provision, the following two paragraphs shall be added:
2　The Japan Monopoly Corporation is authorized to sell manufactured tobacco produced by way of experiment at the retail price fixed under the provision of Article 34 paragraph 1 of the Tobacco Monopoly Law (Law No.111 of 1949), taking into consideration its type and quality and the fixed retail prices of other manufactured tobaccos by the Japan Monopoly Corporation. In this case, the period of the sale shall not exceed six months as a rule.
3　In order to sell the manufactured tobacco referred to in the preceding paragraph for a period exceeding six months, the postentry into the price list of the manufactured tobacco by the Japan Monopoly Corporation mentioned in paragraph 1 shall be made at the earliest opportunity.
Supplementary Provision:
This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
