Law for Partial Amendments to the Science Council of Japan Law
The Science Council of Japan Law (Law No.121 of 1948) shall be partially amended as follows:
In Article 7, the following one paragraph shall be added:
4 The member shall not be prevented from holding concurrently the membership of the National Diet.
In Article 17 paragraph 1 item (1), "(excluding a university provided for in Article 109 paragraph 1 of the same Law)" shall be added next to "the School Education Law (Law No.26, 1947)" , and in item (2) of the same paragraph, "a university provided for in Article 109 paragraph 1 of the School Education Law," shall be added before "the former College Ordinance (Imperial Ordinance No.61, 1903), and in paragraph 2 of the same Article," or achievement report or substituting certificate of responsible persons of professional societies or research bodies to which they belong "shall be amended as" or achievement report ", and in the same paragraph," who have certification "shall be amended as" who have been authorized by the Election Returning Committee provided for in Article 20".
The following one paragraph shall be added next to paragraph 2 of the same Article:
3 The achievement report referred to in the preceding paragraph shall be done either in a written from or oral and have such contents as will enable us to make objective judgement on the achievement.
Supplementary Provision:
This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
