Law for Amending a Part of the Foodstuff Control Special Account Law
A part of the Foodstuff Control Special Account Law (Law No.37 of 1921) shall be amended as follows:
In Article 4-(2), "one hundred and twenty (120) billion yen" shall read "one hundred and fifty billion yen."
In Article 4-(3) paragraph 1, "(exclusive of the Bank of Japan, hereinafter the same)" shall read "(exclusive of the Bank of Japan)," ; "agricultural cooperatives and agricultural associations" shall read "the Central Bank for Agriculture and Forestry or agricultural cooperatives" ;and Paragraph 2 of the same Article shall be amended as follows:
The Government may grant the fund necessary for payment of foodstuff-purchasing prises to the Bank of Japan or the Central Bank for Agriculture and Forestry.
In paragraph 3 of the same Article, "granting the fund under the preceding paragraph" shall read "payment of foodstuff-purchasing prices."
In Supplementary Provisions, next to paragraph 4, one paragraph shall be added as follows:
Charges for expenses concerning the Agricultural Coordination Commission under the provision of the Law concerning Temporary Measures for Securing Foodstuff (Law No.182 of 1948) shall belong to the present Account only for the fiscal year 1948.
Supplementary Provisions:
1. The present Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
2. A part of the Law concerning Temporary Measures for Securing Foodstuff shall be amended as follows:
In Article 18, "(Subsidy)" shall read "(Charge)" ;and "deliver subsidy for appropriations of a local agricultural adjustment committee to a city, town or village," shall read "bear expenses for a local agricultural adjustment committee."
