Telegraph and Telephone Charges Law
Article 1.　The charges for the telegraph and telephone services (including radio telegraph and radio telephone, hereinafter the same;provided the public correspondence) shall be as prescribed in this Law.
Article 2.　The charges for the domestic telegraph services shall be as mentioned in the annexed table No.1, and those for the domestic telephone services shall be mentioned in the annexed table No.2.
Article 3.　Ministry of Communications may, in accordance with the Ministerial Ordinance, reduce or exempt from the charges prescribed in this law, in case, the communication is specially necessary for the public interest such as the distress at the safety of navigation or the notice of fire.
Article 4.　The charges for the international telegraph and telephone services shall be as fixed by international conventions or international agreements excepting prescribed in this law.
2.　The charges, of which the maximum in limited by the conventions or those delegated to the determinations of the competent government agencies shall be determined by the Prime Minister and by the Minister of Communications with the orders notwithstanding the provisions of Article 3 of the Finance Law (Law No.34 of 1947).
Supplementary Provisions:
Article 5.　The present Law shall come into force as from July 10, 1948.
Article 6.　Telegraph Law (Law No.59 of 1900) shall be amended as follows:
In Article 17, "Charges concerning telegraph and telephone service, and."
