I hereby give My sanction to the Imperial Ordinance concerning the provisions of the ordinances stipulating the membership of the Imperial Diet as the eligibility for various commissioners, advisers and others, and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 180
Of the provisions of the ordinances actually in force at the enforcement of the present Imperial Ordinance, those which stipulate the membership of the Imperial Diet as the eligibility for various commissioners advisers and similar positions in the Government, shall still apply, in consideration that the provisions concerned require scholarship and experience for the said eligibility.
Supplementary Provision:
The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
