I hereby give My sanction to the Imperial Ordinance concerning the Provisional Exceptions to measures of distribution of Public Election Bulletins in elections of metropolitan and prefectural governors, and cause the same to be promulgated.

This fifteenth day of the third month of the twenty-second year of Showa (March 15, 1947)
In respect to the elections of the metropolitan and prefectural governors, which are to be held for the first time according to Law No. 26 of 1946 (concerning the partial amendments to the Law governing the Organization of Tokyo Metropolis) or Law No. 47, the same year (concerning the partial amendments to the Law governing the Organization of Prefectures), the public electoral bulletins shall be put up in each polling district at not less than three places conspicuous to the public, in spite of the provisions under Article 87-(7) of the Ordinance concerning Enforcement of the Law for Election of Parliamental Members, which are applied mutatis mutandis under Article 35-(3) of the Ordinance for Enforcement of the Law governing the Organization of Tokyo Metropolis or under Article 20-(3) of the Ordinance for Enforcement of the Law governing the Organization of Prefectures.

Supplementary Prpvision:
この勅令は、公布の日から、これを施行する。
The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
