I hereby give My sanction to the Imperial Ordinance concerning the partial amendment to the Ordinance for the Urgent Measures concerning the Control of Population Inflow into Urban Areas, under the Imperial Ordinance No. 542 of the twentieth year of Showa (1945) concerning the Orders to be issued in consequence of the Acceptance of the Potsdam Declaration, and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 82
The Ordinance for the Urgent Measures concerning the Control of Population Inflow into Urban Areas shall be partly amended as follows:
"March 31, 1947" in Article 2, paragraph 1, shall read "December 31, 1947."
Supplementary Provision:
The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
