I hereby give My Sanction to the Imperial Ordinance concerning the Regulations governing the Organization of the Foodstuff Research Institute and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 423
Regulations governing the Organization Ordinance of the Foodstuff Research Institute.
Article 1. Foodstuff Research Institute shall be attached to Kyoto Imperial University.
Article 2. Foodstuff Research, Institute shall take charge of studies and researches of theories on the production, manufacturing, utilization and storage or foodstuff.
Article 3. The staff of Foodstuff Research Institute shall consist of the following Officials:
Education Ministry Instructors;
Full-time-8 persons- 1st or 2nd Grade
Full-time-8 persons- 3rd Grade
Education Ministry Secretaries:
Full-time-2 persons 3rd Grade.
Article 4. The office of the Director shall be occupied by an Education Ministry Instructor who is a professor of Kyoto Imperial University.
The Director shall administer the Institute affairs under the supervision of the President of Kyoto Imperial University.
Supplementary Provision:
The present Ordinance will come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
