I hereby give My Sanction the Official Organization of the Inquiry Council of the State Examination for the Dentists, and cause the same to be promulgated.

The Official Organization of the Inquiry Council of the State Examination for the Dentists
Article 1. The Inquiry Council of the State Examination for the Dentists shall be under the supervision of the Minister of Welfare and investigate into and deliberate on the important matters concerning the State Examination for the Dentists in response to the consultation of the Minister of Welfare.
Article 2. The Inquiry Council shall consist of 7 members, including 1 president.
Article 3. Among the members 2 are filled with the Director of Sanitation Bureau, Ministry of Welfare and the Director of School Education Bureau, Ministry of Education ; among the others, 1 is filled with the President of Japan Dentists Association; 2 are filled, in accordance with the decision of the Minister of Welfare, with the presidents, directors or dentist professors of these universities or colleges; 2 are nominated by the Cabinet, through the request of the Minister of Welfare, those who are engaged in the dental treatment but not in the officials or the professional staff of the dental universities or colleges and recommended by the President of Japan Dentists Association.
Article 4. The President shall be elected by mutual vote from among the members. However, the Director of Sanitation Bureau, Ministry of Welfare, the Director of School Education Bureau, Ministry of Education, and the President of Japan Dentists Association shall not be permitted, as a member, to be elected as a President.
Article 5. The President shall preside over the business of the Council.
If the President is inconvenient, person who is elected in accordance with the preceding article shall attend to the business on his behalf.
Article 6. The term of office for the President shall be 1 year.
The term of office of the members except the Director of Sanitation Bureau, Ministry of Welfare, the Director of School Education Bureau, Ministry of Education and the President of Japan Dentists Association shall be 2 years.
However, the term of office of a half of the members of the Council who are appointed at first shall be 1 year and the other half shall be decided by lot. A member shall not be permitted to be a member continuously after expiration of his term of affice.
The term of office of the President or the member who is a substitute shall be the remaining term of office of each predecessor respectively.
Article 7. 1 Secretary shall be put in the Council and be appointed from among the 2nd class officials of the Ministry of Welfare by the Minister of Welfare.
The Secretary shall attend to the miscellaneous affairs of the Council under the direction of the President.
Article 8. Some clerks shall be put in the Council and be appointed from among the 3rd class officials of the Ministry of Welfare by the Minister of Welfare.
The clerks shall be engaged in the miscellaneous affairs receiving orders from the superior officials.
Supplementary Provision:
The present Ordinance shall come into force as from September 1, 1946.
