I hereby give My Sanction to the Ordinance concerning partial amendments to be made to the Imperial Ordinance No. 474 of 1945, relating to the Temporary Exceptions to the Full Strength of Civil Officials and of those Treated as Such and cause the same to he promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 388
Part of the Ordinance No. 474 of 1945 shall be amended as follows:
"Not later than one year from the enforcement of the present Ordinance" shall be deleted, and the proviso shall read
"In this case the official concerned may be kept outside the full strength of the staff not later than six months from his appointment."
The following paragraph shall be added to the Ordinance:
"The application of the provisions concerning the qualification for the appointment to civil officials is not prejudiced by the preceding provisions."
In the Supplementary Provision "shall come into force" shall read "shall come into force and shall remain in force till August 15, 1947."
Supplementary Provisions:
The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
Of officials holding office outside the full strength in accordance with the Imperial Ordinance No. 474 of 1945, those who have already held office for six months from his appointment at the time of the enforcement of this Ordinance, and those who will have held office for six months from his appointment within two months after the enforcement of this Ordinance, may be kept outside the full strength not later than two months from the time of the enforcement of the present Ordinance.
