I hereby give My Sanction to the Imperial Ordinance concerning the Exemption of Staple Food from Import Tax issued in accordance with the provisions of Article 12 of the Staple Food Administration Law and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 354
The import tax on the articles mentioned in the table of import tariff affixed to the Customs Tariff Law which are mentioned in the table affixed to the present Imperial Ordinance shall in so far as the importation from January 1, 1946, to December 31 of the same year is concerned be exampted.
Supplementary Provision:
The present Ordinance shall come into force from the day of its promulgation.
