I hereby give My Sanction to the Imperial Ordinance relating to the partial amendment of the Ordinance concerning the Additional Allowances to Public School Officials and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 336
公立學校職員加俸令を次のやうに改正する。
The following amendments shall be made to the Ordinance concerning the Additional Allowances to Public School Officials:
In Article 1, Paragraph 1, "secondary school teachers, assistant secondary school teachers, dormitory inspectors, elementary school teachers, teacher-nurses, nurses and assistant teachers" shall read "Education Ministry instructors, prefectural instructors, prefectural technicians and assistant teachers," and in Paragraph 2, ibid, "Tokyo Metropolis sub-school-inspectors, Hokkaido local government sub-school-inspectors and prefectural sub-school-inspectors" shall read "prefectural secretaries of the 3rd grade holding the position of sub-school-inspector (including prefectural secretaries promoted to the 2nd Grade according to the Ordinance concerning the Better Treatment of Government Officials)," and "secondary school teachers, elementary school teachers, teacher-nurses, and nurses" shall read "Education Ministry instructors and Education Ministry technicians."
In Article 4, Paragraph 1 and 2, "principals who are teachers at the same time and teachers of....." shall read "Prefectural instructors who are on the staff of.....," and in Paragraphs 3 and 4, ibid., "Principals, teachers and teacher-nurses" shall read "Prefectural instructors and prefectural technicians," and "Jun-kundo (assistant teachers)" shall read "Jun-kyoin (assistant teachers)."
第五條中「敎諭、助敎諭、舍監、訓導及保姆」を「文部敎官又ハ地方敎官」に改める。
In Article 5 "Secondary school teachers, assistant teachers, dormitory inspectors, elementary school teachers and teacher-nurses" shall read "Education Ministry instructors or prefectural instructors."
In the List No. 1, "Secondary school teachers, assistant teachers, dormitory inspectors" shall read "Education Ministry instructors, prefectural instructors (not including those in charge of teaching the primary or preparatory course students of schools for the blind, and of schools for the deaf and dumb)," and "elementary school teachers, nurses" shall read "prefectural instructors in charge of teaching the primary or preparatory course students or schools for the blind and of schools for the deaf and dumb."
The tenure of the following office before the promulgation of the present Ordinance shall be counted as part of the length of service iu positions provided in Article I, Paragraph 1 or Paragraph 2 of the revised regulations: Principal, teacher, assistant teacher, dormitory inspector, teacher-nurse, nurse, of puclic schools for the blind, school for the deaf and dumb, elementary school, youth school, secondary school and secondary course of higher school; sub-school-inspector of Tokyo Metropolis, Hokkaido government, and other prefectures; teacher, teacher-nurse and nurse of normal school, normal school for youth under the direct control of the Education Ministry.
