We hereby give Our sanction to the application mutatis mutandis of a part of the Seamen Law to the personnel of repatriation and minesweeping vessels being operated by the Demobilization Board concerning the Imperial Ordinance No. 542 of the 20th year of Showa (1945) providing for the matter relating to the orders issued in connection with the acceptance of the Potsdam Declaration, and cause the same to be promulgated herewith.

Imperial Ordinance No. 285
The provisions of Arts. 7 to 13, 16, 34 to 38, 40, 51 to 54, 55 Nos. 1 and 2, 56, 57 Nos. 1 and 2, 58 to 60, 62 No. 2, and 63 of the Seamen Law, and the provision of Art. 27 of the Rules for the Operation of the Seamen Law, shall apply mutatis mutandis to the personnel of vessels being operated by the Demobilization Board in repatriation and minesweeping services.
Supplementary Provision:
This Ordinance shall come into force as from the day designated by the Prime Minister.
