I hereby give My Sanction to the Law concerning the extention of the terms of office of the assemblymen of the prefectures, cities, towns or villages (Fu, Ken, Shi, Cho-son), etc. approved by the Imperial Diet and cause the same to be promulgated.

This twenty-fourth day of the eighth month of the twenty-first year of Showa (August 24, 1946)
The terms of office of the assemblymen of the prefectures, cities, towns or villages (including the assemblymen of the town and village associations for the general administration, and of the wards of the Tokyo Metropolis) to be expired by October 30, 1946 shall be extended to October 51, 1946.

Supplementanry Provision:
この法律は、公布の日から、これを施行する。
This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
