MEMORANDUM FOR

IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

THROUGH

Subject

Importation of Japanese Government Bonds by Japanese Repatriates.

1. Reference is made to C. L. O. Memorandum No, 1006 (5. 1), dated 10 December 1945, subject: “Government Bonds Brought in by Japanese Repatriates.”
2. Memorandum for Imperial Japanese Government, AG 091. 31 (12 Oct 45) ESS, subject: “Supplemental Instructions Relating to Import and Export Controls” is amended to permit Japanese nationals being repatriated to Japan to bring in with them Japanese Government bonds expressed in Japanese yen.
3. The total of such bonds plus yen currency, the importation of which is authorized, will not exceed the following amounts:
a. Commissioned officers - a maximum of ¥500.
b. Non-commissioned officers and enlisted men - a maximum of ¥200.
c. Civilians - a maximum of ¥1000.
4. Acknowledgment of receipt of this memorandum is directed.
