MEMORANDUM FOR

IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

THROUGH

Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.

SUBJECT

Repatriation of Non-Japanese from Japan.

1. Reference is made to memorandum this headquarters, file AG 370.5 (27 Nov 45)GC, dated 27 November 1945, subject as above.
2. Paragraphs 3c and d of cited reference are superseded by the following:
"c. Provide suitable sleeping cars or first class coaches as quarters for US guards during entire trip. Such accommodations will be furnished when possible to do so without using cars needed by other Allied parsonnel cn official business. Should these accommodations not be available, the most comfortable type on hand will be furnished. US guards will remain quartered aboard cars while in port area."
"d. Take action to insure the return of US guards to point of origin in cars assigned."
