MEMORANDUM FOR	IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.
THROUGH	Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.
SUBJECT	Postal Savings Pass Books Issued in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Kwantung Province and North China.

1. Reference is made to C.L.O. Memorandum No. 552 (2), dated 12 November 1945, and paragraph 2b, Memorandum for the Imperial Japanese Government, file AG 091. 31 (12 Oct 45) ESS, subject: “Supplemental Instructions Relating to Import and Export Controls.”
2. You are authorized to:
a. Permit Japanese nationals being repatriated to Japan to bring in with them postal savings pass books of the Japanese Postal Savings System issued in Japanese yen in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Kwantung Province, and at the North China Post Office.
b. Release from custody postal savings pass books specified in paragraph 2a of this memorandum.
c. Permit withdrawals to be made against such postal savings pass books.
3. An acknowledgment of the receipt of this memorandum is directed.
