MEMORANDUM FOR	JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.
SUBJECT	Termination of Repatriation for Ryukyuans.

1. Reference is made to memorandum for the Japanese Government. AG 014.33 (6 Oct 48)GA, SCAPIN 1950, 23 December 1948, subject same as above.
2. Paragraph 3 of referenced SCAPIN is amended to read:
"After 15 March 1949, individual Ryukyuans may apply for permit for exit from Japan to travel at their own expense to the Ryukyus for compassionate reasons only. These applications will be submitted through local Civil Affairs authorities to the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers for approval."
