SUBJECT | Repatriation of German Nationals. |
1. References.
a. SCAPIN 1750, 21 July 1947, subject, “Repatriation of German and Austrian Nationals.”
b. Nominal rolls of German nationals to be repatriated, as follows (Incl. No. 1):
(1) Part I-Objectionable German Nationals Subject to Forcible Repatriation.
(2) Part II-German Nationals Formerly Having Diplomatic Status.
2. Rescissions.
a. Inclosure No. 1 (Nominal Rolls), reference 1a, above.
b. Section IV of inclousre No. 3 (Property Regulations and Procedures) reference 1 a above.
3. The German nationals lised in Inclousre No. 1 to this memorandum will be repatriated by air under the provisions of reference 1a, above with the following amendments.
a. Repatriates will be permitted to carry 66 pounds of baggage per person.
b. Baggage in excess of 66 pounds, but within the limit of property permitted each repatriate, will be packed and crated for water shipment and forwarded to a collecting point as directed by the Commanding General, Eighth United States Army. This baggage will be addressed to the owner in care of Keuhn and Navel, freight forwarders, Bremerhaven.
4. The Japanese Government will carry out instructions contained in this memorandum and reference 1a, above, under the supervision of the Commanding General, Eighth United States Army. Reports will be made to the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers as required by reference 1a, above.
