MEMORANDUM FOR	THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.
THROUGH	Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.
SUBJECT	Responsibility of the Japanese Government for the Packaging, Transfer, and Delivery of Equipment and Records Allocated to Claimant Nations under the Reparations Program.

1. Reference is Memorandum for the Japanese Government from General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, File AG 387.6 (22 Jul 47) REP, (SCAPIN 1751), dated 22 July 1947, subject: Responsibilities of the Japanese Government for the Packaging, Transfer, and Delivery of Equipment and Records Allocated to Claimant Nations Under the Reparations Program.
2. Paragraph b(2), Annex 9 of reference 1 above is rescinded and the following substituted therefor:
"b(2) Whenever equipment is transferred from plant site, separate reports will be prepared for each group of equipment covered by a single allocation number. Group is defined as that which is moved each day. "
3. Reference is inclosure 3, Annex 9, reference 1 above. The original inclosure 3, Annex 9, is replaced by inclosure 1 of this directive.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARATION OF NOTICE OF TRANSFER REPORT
Paragraph numbers correspond to item numbers on face of report.
1. Assign report number in numerical sequence for each transfer of equipment for each removal project.
2. Self-explanatory.
3. Self-explanatory.
4. Use the same identifying plant code symbol employed in performing inventories and referred to in allocation notices.
5. Record complete address, indicating number, street, village, town, city, and prefecture.
6. Reference paragraph 5 above.
7. Self-explanatory.
8. Signature will be that of the responsible Japanese Government Official.
9. Self-explanatory.
