Subject | Infringement Clause for Forms IE 100. IE 200 and IE 300. |
1. Reference is made to Memorandum for the Imperial Japanese Government from General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, AG 091.31 (14 Mar 1946) ESS - IE, (SCAPIN 814), dated 14 March 1946, subject: Export Procedure. Paragraph 4 of the reference Memorandum is hereby revised to require the Imperial Japanese Government to safeguard against the infringement of trade marks, copyrights and patents of American or Allied Nations.
2. The following statement will be added to the present certification indorsed by the officially authorized agency of the Imperial Japanese Government on all Forms IE 100, IE 200 and IE 300:
“This merchandise offered for export does not in any way constitute an infringement of American or Allied Nations owned trade marks, copyrights or patents.

1. Paragraph 4 of the Memorandum for the Imperial Japanese Government from General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, AG 091.31 (14 Mar 46) ESS/IE, (SCAPIN-814), dated 14 March 1946, subject: Export Procedure, is being revised to provide for an "Infringement Clause" to be added to the certification endorsed by the officially authorized agency of the Imperial Japanese Government on all Applications to Prepare for Export and Applications to Deliver for Export.
2. In order to avoid any legal action that might result from the infringement of trade marks, copyrights and patents of American or Allied Nations, Boeki Cho has been instructed to include the following statement to the certification endorsed by the officially authorized agency of the Imperial Japanese Government on all Forms IE 100, IE 200 and IE 300:
"This merchandise offered for export does not in any way constitute an infringement of American or Allied National owned trade marks, copyrights or patents".
3. This problem as it relates to Korea has been considered.
