SUBJECT | Hakata Repatriation Reception Center. |
1. Reference is made to the following:
a. Memorandum from the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, file AG 370.05 (7 May 46)GC, (SCAPIN 927), dated 7 May 1946, subject: Repatriation, as amended.
b. Memorandum from the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, file AG 014.33 (11 Dec 46)GC, (SCAPIN 1398), dated 11 December 1946, subject: Closing or Reduction of Repatriation Reception Centers.
c. Memorandum from the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, file AG 014.33 (21 Feb 47)GC, (SCAPIN 1539), dated 21 February 1947, subject: Repatriation Reception Centers.
2. With the decrease in the rate of repatriation from the port of Dairen, it is no longer necessary to maintain the repatriation reception center at Hakata.
3. The Imperial Japanese Government will:
a. Institute the closing of the Hakata Reception Center by 10 April 1947, completing the operation by 30 April 1947.
b. Report to the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers by 10 May 1947, on the accomplishment of this directive.
4. Provisions of references, paragraph 1 above, are amended accordingly.
