SUBJECT

Apprehension of Suspected War Criminals.

1. Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 5 February 1947, file AG 000.5 (5 Feb 47) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1506), wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver one ARIIZUMI, Ryunosuke, Cmdr., to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete said ARIIZUMI's name for the reason that he committed suicide on 29 Aug 45. This name appears as the first name on Page No. 1 of the above mentioned Memorandum.
2. Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 29 January 1947, file AG 000.5 (29 Jan 47) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1496), wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver one TANAKA, (FNU), Lt., to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete said TANAKA's name for the reason that he is no longer required for trial. This name appears as the sixth name on Page No. 3 of the above mentioned Memorandum.
