Repatriation

1. Reference is made to memorandum from the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, file AG 370.05 (16 Mar. 46) GC, (SCAPIN-822), dated 16 March 1946, subject: “Repatriation”.
2. Paragraph 1, Annex V, subject: “Medical and Sanitary Procedures”, reference memorandum is amended by adding the following:
“d 1/4. Crews of incoming repatriation ships carrying smallpox cases will be vaccinated, or revaccinated, for smallpox and the responsible control agency notified that the ship can be dispatched when five days have elapsed subsequent to the vaccination. This will not apply to ships carrying quarantinable diseases other than smallpox”.
