MEMORANDUM FOR	IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.
THROUGH	Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.
Subject	Restriction on Dividend Payments.

1. Reference is made to letters Ministry of Finance LO 63, 10 December 1945, and LO 103, 21 December 1945, Subject: “Lifting the Restriction on Dividend Payments”.
2. Dividends will be paid only from earnings of the current period.
3. Dividends will not exceed 5% per annum if the dividend paying concern:
a. Has any claims against the Japanese Government for war insurance or Government indemnity, or,
b. Is a restricted concern listed in the inclosure to AG 004 (8 Dec 45) ESS subject: “Establishment of a Schedule of Restricted Concerns”.
4. Dividends will not be paid by the institutions mentioned in paragraph 2 of Ministry of Finance letter LO 103, 21 December 1945.
