MEMORANDUM FOR	IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.
THROUGH	Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.
SUBJECT	Repatriation of Japanese Officials from China.

1. Reference is made to memorandum from this headquarters, file AG 370.05 (23 Dec 45) GC, dated 23 December 1945, subject as above.
2. This headquarters has received additional details concerning the retention in China of subject officials as follows:
a. First priority for evacuation from the area where subject Japanese are located is given to Japanese without funds or employment. Subject Japanese were not in this category hence they were not embarked on the Meiyu Maru.
b. Present plans call for the return of the subject Japanese in the near future.
