SUBJECT	Repatriation of Japanese Officials from China.

1. Reference is made to letter Central Liaison Office, Tokyo, file C. L. O. No.1215 (5.1), dated 20 December 1945, subject as above.
2. The responsibility for priority in repatriation and for retention of individuals or groups of individuals in China is the prerogative of the Chinese Government.
3. Request contained in reference letter has been forwarded to appropriate authorities for consideration.
