MEMORANDUM FOR	Imperial Japanese Government
THROUGH	Central Liaison Office, Tokyo
SUBJECT	Exchange Certificates Issued to Japanese Troops Repatriating from North China

1. Reference is made to C.L.O. Memorandum No. 682 (2.1), dated 22 November 1945.
2. The Imperial Japanese Government is authorized to permit Japanese troops and Japanese nationals repatriating to Japan from North China to bring with them exchange certificates for Japanese yen issued by demobilization directors at ports of embarkation. Total yen currency and exchange certificates is not to exceed \200 for soldiers, \500 for officers and \1,000 for civilians attached to the Armv.
3. Refunding of such exchange certificates in Japan is the responsibility of the Japanese Government.
4. An acknowledgement of the receipt of this memorandum is directed.
