SUBJECT

Request for Resumption of Overseas Broadcasts.

1. Reference is made to your letter of 11 September 1945, file C.L.O. No.48, concerning the resumption of overseas Japanese language broadcast.
2. It is felt that the present situation does not warrant recommencement of Broadcasting by the Broadcasting Company of Japan. However, it is contemplated that permission for overseas broadcasts to be resumed will be forthcoming at a future date when conditions are more settled. Broadcasts will be subject to censorship by this headquarters.
