MEMORANDUM FOR

IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

SUBJECT

Appointment of Civilian Merchant Marine Committee.

1. It is directed that a Civilian Merchant Marine Committee be appointed composed of representatives of Japanese ship owners, agents, stevedores, terminal operators, bunkering agents, ship chandlers and the Board of Trade, for the purpose of administrating the Japanese Merchant Marine under the direction of Administrator, U. S. Naval Shipping Control Authority for the Japanese Marchant Marine (SCAJAP). Members nominated must be acceptable to the Administrator, SCAJAP.
2. Names and affilitations of proposed representatives will be furnished to the Administrator, SCAJAP, at the earliest practicable date.
