SUBJECT | Supplemental Instructions Relating to Korean Repatriates Entering Japan |
1. Reference is made to Memorandum, this Headquarters, for the Imperial Japanese Government, File AG 091.3 (22 Sep 45) ESS, Subject: “Controls Over Exports and Imports of Gold, Silver, Securities and Financial Instruments."
2. You will now permit Korean Nationals entering Japan for repatriation to bring in with them the following:
a. Securities, checks, drafts, bills of exchange, promissory notes, payment instructions, pass books, insurance policies, transfer orders, or other financial instruments.
b. Powers of attorney, proxies, or other authorizations or instructions to effect financial or property transactions within or outside of Japan.
c. Any other evidence of indebtedness or evidence of ownership of property not specifically enumerated above.
3. You will report immediately to this Headquarters the action taken to comply with the requirements of this memorandum.
4. An acknowledgment of the receipt of this memorandum is directed.
