MEMORANDUM FOR	JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.
THROUGH	Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.
SUBJECT	International Mail Service

1. Reference is made to Memorandum for the Japanese Government, file AG 311.1 (26 Aug 47) CCS, (SCAPIN 1768), dated 26 August 1947, subject: International Mail Service.
2. The reference memorandum is hereby amended, effective 10 October 1947, by adding the following new category to paragraph 5:
“h. Bibles and all other sacred writings of all religious faiths and sects; and tracts, other pamphlets, books, journals and other publications of which at least 50 percent of the content is devoted to matters generally recognized as religious - (to and from Japan).”
