JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

THROUGH

Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.

SUBJECT

Quarantine Installations and Procedures.

1. Reference is made to memorandum for the Japanese Government from General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, AG 710(22 Sep 45)MG, subject "Public Health Measures."
2. Sea ports of entry for Japan have been designated as follows:
Otaru
Hakodate
Yokohama
Yokosuka
Shimizu
Nagoya
Kobe
Kure
Moji
Sasebo
Nagasaki
Miike
3. The Japanese Government will provide quarantine services at these ports of entry as required by the Commanding General, Eighth Army.

1. Reference: Circular No. 8, 30 August 1946, General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, Control of Entry and Exit of Individuals, Aircraft and Surface Vessels Into and From Japan; Circular No. 10, 28 October 1946, General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, Foreign Quarantine Regulations for Japan; Letter this headquarters, AG 813 (11 Dec 46)PH, subject: "Ports of Entry for Japan"; Letter General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, AG 567, 23 July 1947, subject: "Additional Ports of Entry for Japan"; Memorandum this headquarters, for Japanese Government, AG710 (22 Sept 45)MG, subject: "Public Health Measures."
2. The Japanese Government is notified in the attached memorandum, this headquarters, of the officially-designated ports of entry and is further instructed to provide quarantine services at the ports of entry as required by the Commanding General, Eighth Army.
3. Routine surveillance is desired.
