SUBJECT | Expansion of Radiotelegraph Service via the United States. |
1. Reference is made to Memorandum for the Japanese Government, file AG 311.23 (10 Aug 47)CCS, SCAPIN 1759, dated 10 August 1947, subject: same as above, as amended.
2. So much of Inclosures 1 and 2 of SCAPIN 1759 as pertains to word charges and division of revenue for full rate radiotelegrams originating in Japan destined to Brazil and Panama are hereby amended, in accordance with the following schedule:
TO THRU RATE JAPAN SHARE AMERICAN CARRIER SHARE
Panama (Republic of) $0.87 0.26625 0.60375
Panama (C. Z.) 0.725 0.21 0.515
Brazil 0.78 0.195 0.585
3. Rates for CDE, LC and NLT classifications are 60%, 50%, and 33-1/3% respectively of the charges per full rate word.
4. Direct communication between the Civil Communications Section, General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, and the Ministry of Telecommunications regarding operating and accounting procedures within the scope of this memorandum is authorized.
