SUBJECT | Apprehension of Suspected War Criminals |
1. Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 15 Jun 46, file AG 000.5 (15 Jun 46) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1027), wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver one ASAI, Masao, 2nd Lt., to the Commanding General, EITHH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete said ASAI's name for the reason he has been confirmed as "Killed in Action" at Admiralty Island, 1 Mar 44. This name appears as the fourth name on Page No. 1 of the above mentioned Memorandum.
2. Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 7 Sep 46, file AG 000.5 (7 Sep 46) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1188), wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver one INOBE, Shigetoshi. Lt., to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete said INOBE's name for the reason he is no longer required. This name appears as the sixth name on Page No. 3 of the above mentioned Memorandum.
3. Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 12 Nov 46, file AG 000.5 (12 Nov 46) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1331), wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver one SHIMADA, Tatsudo, Sergeant, to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete said SHIMADA's name for the reason it has been confirmed he was "Killed in Action" in Siam, 3 Aug 45. This name appears as the eighth name on Page No. 5 of the above mentioned Memorandum.
