MEMORANDUM FOR

IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

SUBJECT

Gold, Silver and Platinum for Domestic Consumption in the Fourth Quarter of 1946.

1. Reference is made to memorandum for the Imperial Japanese Government, AG 410.2(10 Dec 46)CPC/GP, SCAPIN-1387, 10 December 1946, subject. Gold, Silver and Platinum for Domestic Consumption in the Fourth Quarter of 1946, from General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers.
2. The following corrections are made to reference memorandum:
a. Tokyo Wireless Electric Company: allocation of 800 grams of gold should be 800 grams of silver.
b. Total of platinum allocations should read: 42,797 grams (platinum only).
c. Quantity of platinum to be released from the Vaults of the Bank of Japan will be increased to permit use of the total shown in paragraph 2b above.
3. The period during which the subject allocation of precious metals ray be used is extended to include the first quarter of 1947.
