SUBJECT	Gold, Silver and Platinum for Domestic Consumption in the Fourth Quarter of 1946.

3. All gold, silver and platinum, except as indicated, will be obtained from stocks in the possession of the Imperial Japanese Government. "Platinum family" metals will be obtained from available sources, and reports of such, sources will be submitted to General.Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers. All future requests for the allocation of precious metals for domestic consumption must contain written approval, based upon Japan minimum needs, of the interested Ministry of the Imperial Japanese Government; requests rust be accompanied by an inventory of precious metals stocks on hand in each company requesting an allocation. Applications for release of precious metals for the manufacture of export items must include the number of the validated Form 100.
4. The Imperial Japanese Government is directed to submit a monthly report to include the following information for each of the firms named in paragraph 2, above:
a. Gold, silver and platinum on hand as of the first day of the calendar month.
b. Gold, silver and platinum received during the month.
c. Gold, silver and platinum used during the month.
d. Gold, silver and platinum on hand as of the last day of the calendar month.
e. Products manufactured and disposition of same. Reports will be submitted in quadruplicate, not later than the 15th day of the month following that covered by the report These reports will include data pertaining to the Nippon Dentalist Association.
