MEMORANDUM FOR

IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT

THROUGH

Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.

SUBJECT

Repatriation of Japanese from Hawaii, Philippines, Okinawa, the Marianas Islands, and the Caroline Islands.

1. Reference is made to Memorandum for the Imperial Japanese Government, file AG 014.33 (18 Sept 46) GC, (SCAPIN-1214), dated 18 September 1946, subject as above.
2. Paragraph 3 b of the reference memorandum is deleted and a new paragraph 3 b as given below is substituted therefor:
"3 b. Departing for the Philippine Islands:
(1) From Nagoya on or about 29 October; 5, 11, 19, 25, 30, November; 6, 10, 14 December; 2500 spaces each date.
(2)From Nagoya on or about 12 November, 5000 spaces.
(3) From Sasebo on or about 12 December, 2000 spaces including 500 hospital spaces."
3. The Imperial Japanese Government will provision the ships referred to in paragraph 2 above in accordance with the reference in paragraph 1 above.
