Subject | Revised Listing of Reparations Selections Within Privately-Owned Munitions Plants. |
1. Reference is made to Memorandum for the Imperial Japanese Government dated 13 August 1946 (SCAPIN 1134), subject: “Reparations Selections Within Privately-Owned Munitions Plants.”
2. Attached as Annex I are deletions from the list of Privately Owned Munitions Plants referred to in paragraph 1, above.
3. Within seventy-two (72) hours of the receipt of this memorandum, the Japanese Government will have qualified representatives report to the Commanding General, Eighth United States Army, and to the Commander Naval Activities, Japan, to receive instructions with regard to releasing from custody and control, installations affected by revisions of the lists referred to in paragraph 1, above.

1. Revision of present listings of Privately-Owned Munitions Plants now under custody and control of the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers has been made necessary by investigations which have revealed that some plants do not fall under categories set up by the FEC for the privately owned munitions industry.
2. The attached annex removes 2 installations.
3. No concurrences necessary.
