SUBJECT | Placing of Repatriation Reception Centers at Hakodate, Karatsu, and Moji (Tobata) on an Inactive Status. |
1. Reference is made to Memorandum for the Imperial Japanese Government, file 370.05 (16 Mar 46)GC, (SCAPIN-822), dated 16 March 1946, subject: "Repatriation" as amended.
2. The Imperial Japanese Government will:
a. Place repatriation reception centers of Hakodate, Karatsu, and Moji (Tobata) on an inactive status since present plans do not contemplate their use in the near future.
b. Be prepared to re-open these centers on ten (10) days notice.
