SUBJECT | Trans-shipment of Korean Repatriates. |
1. Reference is made to Memorandum from the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, file AG 370.05 (16 Mar 46) GC (SCAPIN-822), dated 16 March 1946, subject: "Repatriation."
2. a. Six Korean repatriates from Okinawa are scheduled to arrive at Uraga on SS Gables on or about 27 March 1946 for transshipment to Korea.
b. Three of these Koreans are isolation tuberculosis cases
3. The Imperial Japanese Government will:
a. Receive and care for these Korean repatriates during their stay in Japan.
b. Arrange for such special care, isolation and notification of destination authorities as may be appropriate in the cases of the tubercular Korean repatriates in accordance with the provision of paragraphs 1a (1) (2) (3) and e, Annex V of reference cited in paragraph 1 above.
c. Arrange for their transportation from Uraga to an appropriate reception center for shipment to Korea in accordance with the provisions of Section II Annex III of reference cited in paragraph 1 above.
d. Place these repatriates aboard the first available repatriation shipping to their homeland.
