MEMORANDUM FOR	IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.
THROUGH	Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.
SUBJECT	Suspension of Repatriation from Japan of Koreans Residing in Northern Korea.

1.Reference is made to the following:
a.Memorandum from this headquarters file AG 370.05 (17 Nov 45)GC, (SCAPIN-295), dated 17 November 1945, subject: "Repatriation of Non-Japanese from Japan."
b.Memorandum from this headquarters AG 053 (17 Feb 46)GC (SCAPIN-749ﾏﾏ), dated 17 February 1946, subject: "Registration of Koreans, Chinese, Ryukyuans and Formosans."
2.The Imperial Japanese Government upon receipt of this memorandum will:
a.Suspend repatriation from Japan of Koreans whose destination in Korea is north of the 38 degree parallel of north latitude.
b.Keep this suspension in effect until further notification.
