MEMORANDUM FOR

IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

SUBJECT

Repatriation.

1.Reference is made to Memorandum for the Imperial Japanese Government, file AG 370.05 (16 Mar 46)GC, (SCAPIN-822), dated 16 March 1946, subject: "Repatriation."
2.Paragraph 3c, Annex Ⅵ, subject: "Currency, Securities and other Documents and Possessions", of the reference memorandum is rescinded and the following substituted therefor.
"3.c.Effective 1 April 1946, permit them to carry with them their clothing and personal possessions of value only to the owner. These effects will be limited in weight to 250 pounds per person. The Imperial Japanese Government will take the necessary steps to handle this additional baggage without delaying the repatriation program".
3.Additions to or changes incorporated in above paragraph have been underlined.
