MEMORANDUM FOR

IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

THROUGH

Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.

SUBJECT

Repatriation of Japanese Diplomats.

1. Reference is made to Memorandum for Imperial Japanese Government, subject and file number as above (SCAPIN - 782) dated 1 Mar 46, in which the vessel Natsuzuki was designated to transport 300 to 400 Japanese Diplomats from Manila to Tokyo.
2. The Japanese repatriation vessel Tsykushi Maru, having been selected by representatives of the Imperial Japanese Government, has now been substituted for the Natsuzuki for the purpose of transporting the 312 Japanese Diplomats and consular personnel from Manila to Japan.
3. The Tsukushi Maru is scheduled to depart Sasebo 9 March 1946, ETA Manila 13 March, ETA Yokohama 20 March.
4. The Imperial Japanese Government will
a. Make such special arrangements for food and servants as is deemed desirable to assure comfort for the individuals aboard the Tsukushi Maru.
b. Be prepared to receive these repatriated diplomatic and consular personnel upon arrival of the vessel Tsukushi Maru at Yokohama on or about 20 March 1946.
