MEMORANDUM FOR	IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.
THROUGH	Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.
SUBJECT	Request for Allotment of Shipping to Yangtze River Area.

1. Reference is made to C.L.O. No.872 (5.2), 23 February 1946, subject as above.
2. Evacuation of the Japanese nationals in the upper reacher of the Yangtze River above Anking to Shanghai is the responsibility of the Chinese National Government.
3. The request of the Imperial Japanese Government in this matter therefore has been referred to the Commanding General, United States Forces China Theater.
