SUBJECT

Japanese Repatriation Shipping Shuttles Between Japan and Korea.

1. Reference is made to the following Memoranda to the Imperial Japanese Government.
a. File AG 370.05(17 Nov 45) GC, dated 17 November 1945, subject: "Reception Centers in Japan for Processing Repatriates."
b. File AG 370.05 (17 Nov 45) GC, dated 23 January 1945, subject: "Reception Centers in Japan for Processing Repatriates."
2. a. Short range Japanese repatriation shipping in the Korea-Japan shuttles is being redistributed to approximate the following percentages.
Hakata 25%
Senzaka 45%
Maizuru 15%
Hakodate 15%
b. Information concerning the actual number of passenger spaces available at any time may be obtained from SCAJAP through the CMMC.
3. The Imperial Japanese Government will:
a. Keep the reception centers serving the above ports filled to capacity with outgoing repatriates.
b. Outload to capacity all repatriation vessels sailing from these ports.
