MEMORANDUM FOR

IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

THROUGH

Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.

SUBJECT

Apprehension of Japanese Personnel.

1. The Imperial Japanese Government will apprehend and deliver to the authorities of Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp) for incarceration the following individuals:
a. AOTSU, Kikutaro, Major General, formerly Commanding General of 41st Infantry Division Group, and ome time Staff Officer of 8th Army, who embarked for Japan at Wewak, aboard Koei Maru, 9 January 1946.
b. SUZUKI, Shigeo, Lt., Col., Cavalry Staff Officer of the 18th Army on New Guinea, and one time Staff Officer of the 41st Division, who embarked for Japan at Wewak aboard Kashima Maru, 7 January 1946.
2. The Japanese Government will apprehend these individuals upon their arrival in Japan. In case apprehension is for any reason impossible, a detailed report will be made to this Headquarters, starting whereabouts of individuals not arrested, and reason for non-arrest.
