MEMORANDUM FOR

IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

THROUGH

Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.

SUBJECT

Operation of Government Meteorological Stations Located on Detached Islands.

1. The Imperial Japanese Government is directed to establish or rehabilitate and operate the following Island Meteorological Stations for a period of approximately six months:

2. The above stations will prepare and transmit hourly weather reports to the Central Meteorological Observatory, Tokyo in accordance with paragraph 1 d of inclosure to Memorandum for the Imperial Japanese Government, File No. AG 000.93 (19 Nov 45) GC-P, subj : "Operation of Japanese Weather Service," dated 19 November 1945.
3. Over water transportation for establishment and maintenance will be furnished by the United States.
4. Detailed coordination of technical operational matters and transportation will be accomplished directly with the Imperial Japanese Government by the Commanding General, Pacific Air Command, United States Army for these stations.
