Subject

Repatriation of Formosans in Japan

1. Japanese hospital ship, Hikawa Maru, engaged in repatriation service, is scheduled to sail from Uraga on 2 January 1946 to W▲k via Kiiron, Formosa. Vessel has capacity for 270 patients and 2,000 able bodied personnel.
2. Make necessary arrangements for loading this vessel to capacity with Formosans giving first priority to evacuation of the group now camped in the civinity of Atsugi Air Base. Bessel will disembark Formosans at Kiirun.
